The Department of Community Affairs (DCA) is pleased to announce the initiation of the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program Tenant-Based and Project-Based Waiting List.
The waiting list is scheduled to open from 12:00 am on Tuesday, October 17th, 2023, and will remain accessible until 11:59 pm on Friday, October 20, 2023.
Applicants will be chosen via a lottery system to ensure a just and impartial process. This process guarantees that all applications received within the specified timeframe possess an equal chance of selection. Following the closure of the application period, 5,000 applications will be randomly selected for inclusion on the Tenant-Based Waiting List.
Families are required to submit only one application per household, adhering to the established policy to maintain fairness and inclusivity in the selection process.
